Friday Favorites

I haven't linked up with Friday Favorites for awhile so figured why not kick off the start to summer by linking up!

1. Today is Emma's last day of the toddler room at daycare and I can't believe how much she has grown and changed since August! (Thanks dad for sending the pic once she woke up even if she went wild child and hit herself in the lip and busted it open- palm to face emoji moment)

2. This week we popped in over at my sister's house for a little while and these cousins really are the best of friends. Emma looks up to Collier so much and they play well together (most of the time).

3. Emma loves to sing her ABCs and "kinkle kinkle little star" for me when she's in the bath and I can't resist recording that precious voice of hers with all the mis-pronunciations because I know soon it won't be so choppy anymore and I'll miss it.

4. We ordered a new couch for the living room a few weeks ago and it was meant to be delivered last Wednesday but because it was raining they wouldn't deliver it (grrr) so it finally came on Monday and I LOVE it! I am all about a comfy couch to lounge on and I love a good sectional.

5. I've been wanting to spruce up our dining room a little bit and when I saw someone post this on buckhead exchange for sale and it was the colors of my dining room I just went for it! Excuse the mess on and around our table. It's been a week with it being the last week of school.

6. Last Friday night all the women in my family got together for dinner and a flower arranging class at the West Elm in Ponce City Market. We had such a fun time! Nice to get an adult night out with my favorite women (my mom, nana, and sisters Bonnie and Claire).

7. Lastly feeling this little one kick more and more each day has been so wonderful. We can't wait to meet her in September! (Pregnancy update:This was from our 20 week appointment a few weeks ago. I'm 22 weeks right now. I'm feeling pretty good. Sleep has been better lately and my energy level is up. I'm trying to soak up all the goodness that the second trimester has to offer. I'm sure I'm going to be miserably hot and uncomfortable by the end of the summer)

Friday Favorites

For this first time in awhile I'm linking up for Friday Favorites

1. Excited I can finally share that my sister is pregnant and due in June! Bonnie has had a hard 18 months (really 2.5 years if you include all the time she went undiagnosed) and to be able to be pregnant is a pretty amazing thing. We can't wait to meet our new niece/nephew in June. Prayers are much appreciated for a smooth pregnancy.

2. I blogged about our visit to see Santa over the weekend. Emma surprised me by not screaming sitting on a strangers lap. She was rather confused and refused to smile but it made for a sweet picture of her gazing at the man with the white beard!

3. Last week Emma spent that night with my in-laws and their neighbor so graciously offered (she's a photographer) to take some Christmas pictures of Emma and she looks so cute! Definitely a favorite for sure!

4. Blogged this week about our snow days here in Atlanta and it was so magical!

5. I wanted a new outfit for Christmas Eve this year so stopped and bought THIS and THIS!

5. This is not really a favorite from the week but more a prayer request. My dog is not well and we have been back and forth from the vet. I hope his treatments today and tomorrow really kick in because the next step is just plain expensive. He is a favorite but seeing him sick is really hard.

That's all I've got for this week. Happy Holidays! SOOOO close to Christmas and SOOOO close to a break from school (4 more days!)

Friday Favorites: Catch all edition

I'm linking up for Friday Favorites! This week is a random mix of things to get caught up since I haven't blogged in awhile. This week has been a short week with having Monday off and I'm off today because I'm at the beach!

1. This past weekend I headed up to Nashville to visit my friend Colleen for the UGA vs. Vandy game. UGA really showed up last weekend. There were more Georgia fans in the stadium than Vandy fans. We had such a great weekend! It was good for me to get away for some girl time and to spend some quality time with Colleen and see where she lives and meet some of her friends. UGA played awesome too so that was a nice bonus!

2. On Monday we had the day off for Columbus day so my friend, Katherine, and her daughter, Ada (Emma's BFF), came over for a playdate and we tried to do some seasonal painting! They aren't pinterest worthy but they are darn cute!

3. We ended the afternoon after nap at Hobby Lobby

and I came home with this that I am LOVING!
(I have all these candles that my mom was wanting to get rid of and wasn't sure what to do with them. I have a lot of pottery barn stuff that is this tin look so I thought this would fit in perfectly. Threw some pumpkins in and and called it a day. Yes I have a football runner....it's football season AND we are having people over for the UGA/FL game later this month so I figured why not go ahead and put it out as part of my October/Fall decor for now.)

4. I know I talk about Skinny Taste recipes a lot but it just makes my life easier when trying to calculate my weight watchers points for the day. On Monday I made her Chicken Pot Pie soup with some Halloween shaped puff pastry on top. It was delicious! Tommy even went back for seconds so I consider that a win win. It also made a TON so I had for lunch yesterday and Tommy ate it for dinner.

5. I just can't get over how big Emma is getting. It was just yesterday she was born and now she's 17 months old! She is talking up a storm these days and repeating everything after me. It's truly amazing how quickly kids learn.

6. I am LOVING these slip ons that I found at Target. They are great for walking at work and cute as well. They have them in army green as well.

7. A few weekends ago our church had their first pumpkin patch. It was so cute! Animals, train, riding ponies, vendors, and lots of pumpkins to choose from. We had a great time and will definitely be going next year!

Toddlers are impossible when it comes to getting pictures taken (cue eye roll)

8. That same day after the pumpkin patch we went to some of our great friends houses for Meghan's 30th birthday which was also a surprise pregnancy announcement party! So excited for them! Baby will be arriving in April. Can't wait to meet him/her!

9. Lastly spending the weekend at the beach is going to be a FAVORITE for sure! Thanks Hartmans for including us!

Have a wonderful weekend!
