Addie: One Month

Addie One Month Update

Height: 21.5 inches (67%)
Weight: 9 lb 14 oz (68%)
Clothing size: newborn (close to being in 3M)

Eating updates: So we have had a rough couple of weeks to be totally honest. I thought Addie was doing well with nursing but then we went for her 2 week check up and she wasn't gaining like she should so I brought it up to the doctor about a possible lip/tongue tie. He agreed it was a possibility and referred us to an ENT. We went a few days later and he recommended doing a lip and tongue clipping. I then went to a lactation consultant and she said that Addie's sucking was very weak and gave me exercises to do with her but suggested for the time being to attempt nursing but then offer a bottle and pump. So needless to say its been quite an interesting 2 weeks. She is gaining great now but definitely does better with the bottle so I'm doing more just bottle/pumping then nursing which is fine. I will just keep on keeping on until I start to lose my sanity. I am producing enough right now so we are doing fine.

This past month we have been trying to get into a new rhythm. Addie has gone to her first pumpkin patch, first trip to the aquarium, is sleeping in her own room, been on two dates with mom and dad, spent a lot of time with family, met a lot of her new little buddies, went to her first bachelorette party, and sharing lots of snuggles with mom, dad, and sister. We've had our fair share of doctor's appointments which is for a later time. We are so in love with this little one and are loving watching her grow and change every day.

Now for a photo dump from the past month:
