4th of July Beach Week

This past week we spent time at my parents beach house. We got there Friday evening and Tommy stayed until Wednesday morning and I stayed with Emma until Saturday morning. We had a great trip and the weather was wonderful! Before we left the forecast for the majority of the week said rain and we only had rain on Monday morning. Win win!

Friday was Nana's 82nd birthday but since it was everyone's travel day we went out on Saturday night to celebrate at Cafe Piccolo after a full day on the beach . It was delicious!

On Sunday we rented a kayak and paddle board. I was NOT good at the paddle board. I enjoyed the kayak! We ended the night with dinner out sans kids while mom and nana hung back at the house. We tried a new place called Deck 383 and it was a hit!

Monday we spent the morning in the house due to the rain. Later in the afternoon the Robinson's joined us from Charleston for some beach time and a cookout. Emma loved having everyone together to play with her! We enjoyed a nice dinner with everyone. Thanks for making the drive over Robinson's!

Tuesday was the 4th. We spent the day back and forth from the beach watching the neighborhood parade and enjoying the sun. We ended the day with grilled burgers for dinner before watching fireworks on the beach. It was a great day!

The rest of the week was quieter as Tommy, Bonnie, Brett and Collier (Henley and Cooper too!) all left to head back to Atlanta. We continued to soak up the sun and enjoy our days on the beach. It was a wonderful week with my family. We missed dad and claire!

(Emma's walking really took off this week and she is one fearless fish. Little terrifying that the waves aren't a little bit scary for her. Gotta watch her like a hawk)
(Laughing at uncle James. He knows how to make her laugh!)

(She loved to play in the wagon. Silly girl!)
