Baby Showers

This summer I helped host two baby showers for two of my dear friends; Caroline Stelling and Kyle Hartman. Caroline we celebrate with in June and her sweet daughter, Maggie, was born on July 21st! Kyle is due 9 days after me so we are anxiously awaiting baby Hartman's arrival. I'm putting it in writing that I think Kyle and Andrew are having a baby girl.

Caroline's shower was as girly as they come. Flower crowns, flowers galore, edible flowers, and all the pink. We had such fun celebrating Maggie that day. Thanks to Drew's parents for opening up their home for us to host the shower. It was such a fun day!

Kyle we celebrated last weekend with a gender neutral brunch at her sister's boyfriends beautiful new home in Chastain Park. It was a great day with great friends. It's been a lot of fun going through this pregnancy with so many close friends going through it as well. Looking forward to watching all our kiddos grow up together.

Weekend Recap: Showers and Mother's Day

This past weekend was a BUSY one for the Robinson household. On Friday we just took it easy at home because I needed to prep for the shower I was hosting the next day. We watched "The Greatest Showman" finally and my husband felt betrayed afterwards because I didn't really explain what exactly it was. The music was SO good!

Saturday morning I got up before Emma to shower because I just knew the morning would be hectic. Tommy was playing in the semi-finals tennis playoffs and I had to get the rest of my things ready for the shower before running Emma to my parents to nap then drive to Grant Park area where I was hosting my friend Audrey's shower. Audrey is one of my dear friends from college who lives in Kansas City and expecting her first child (baby girl!) in August. Me and two other good college girlfriends hosted a shower for her. It was small but wonderful! It was so good to see Audrey and get to spend some time with my girlfriends and their moms. It was the perfect afternoon!

I had to scoot home around 5 to get home to refresh before leaving for Decatur for a couples baby shower for our friends Caroline and Drew who are expecting their first child (Maggie!) in July. Tommy got home from getting Emma and running and errand at 5:25 and our sitter arrived at 5:30. Like I said, busy day! We both freshened up and headed out with the Hartmans to the shower. Nice to have an adult night out and to celebrate Maggie!

Sunday morning was a beautifully relaxed morning with my little family. We went to J Christophers early for breakfast (with everyone else with little children), ran home to scoop Cooper up, then headed to the river to let him swim and let Emma splash around in the water. The weather has been so warm lately this sounded like the perfect morning to me. We came home and Emma played some more outside with her water table and we hosed Cooper off before Emma napped.

After her nap we headed to my parents house for an early dinner with my whole family (minus James) and Tommy's parents. It was the perfect end to the day to be with my loved ones. We sat outside and enjoyed curried kebabs by my dad and some summer salads. It was the perfect Mother's Day for me. Tommy and Emma made me feel very special and loved. Can't believe next Mother's day I will be a mother of two. Still wrapping my head around that!

Mother's Day is so hard for so many around me. Just wanting to send my love to those with hard circumstances on holidays like this. posted this on my instagram Sunday because it just spoke to me!

Weekend Recap

This past weekend was a hectic one and Tommy was out of town on his Annual Golf Trip with 16 buddies. Friday night was the school carnival which Emma came with me to. It was a great turn out! After carnival, my friends Kyle, Meghan and Elizabeth came over to hang out since all the husbands were away.

Saturday Emma and I went to my friend Alex's house to hang out with friends in/by the pool in her backyard. It was such a beautiful day outside and Emma LOVED the pool! I didn't take any pictures Friday or at the pool. I was too in the moment to snag any pictures. After the pool time I took Emma home for her nap before driving her over to my parents house for the night. Her last stay at 833 Chestnut Lake Drive since my parents moved today (serious tears emoji). I then scooted home to shower and get ready for Kiersten and Tom's wedding.

Kier is a friend from college whom I've gotten to know much better since graduating and Tom also went to UGA with us. They now live in Columbia, SC for his residency program. The wedding was stunning and Kier was such a beautiful bride! The wedding was at the Emory Conference Center Hotel. Her band was awesome! We had a great night dancing the night away! So nice having some of my friends who live out of town here and getting to catch up in person. My college girlfriends have moved all over the place so when we get together I try to soak up every minute I can!

Carly (ATL), me, Alex (ATL), Lizzie (ATL), Hinkle (DC), Gorman (NYC), and Audrey (Kansas City)

The brunette bridesmaid is Stephanie (LA), Kier the beautiful bride (SC), and the blonde bridesmaid is Colleen (Nashville).

We had such a fun night and are so happy for the newlywed Ergens!

Sunday I had a baby shower for my friend, Colette, whom I used to work with at Lake Forest. She is due on May 22nd and she doesn't know what she is having. It was great to see some of my old co-workers and to celebrate baby Fraser! (I was too busy wrangling in my mobile child so I stole this picture from Adrienne's Instagram!)

It was a busy weekend filled with a lot of love and laughter but I was ready for my husband to come home!

Show and Tell Tuesday: Grown Up Parties

Linking up for Show and Tell Tuesday: Grown Up Parties. I love to entertain and get the people I love to gather. All my parties may not be Pinterest worthy but here are a few that I've thrown over the years. I love a good party!

Just last month we threw a FIESTA wedding shower for our friends! Also two years ago we threw another FIESTA shower too.

Each year my friend, Ansley, and I throw a holiday party and the past two years we have done our FAVORITE THINGS (I'm not sure why all the pictures disappeared on my post about the party) party! It's been a crowd pleaser. Everyone brings an appetizer or dessert to share and then three of the same $10 or less gift that is a favorite from the year and everyone goes home with three new things! It's such fun. Ansley and I rotate each year who hosts so 2017 is my year!

We threw a BBQ Couples shower for our friends before they got married a few years ago. It was at our house as well.

Baby showers are also fun. I didn't throw this one for my sister but I attended and I just LOVED the BOOK theme!

Last week I helped throw an Ahoy it's a Boy baby shower for Ansley and it was so cute!

Hope you enjoyed seeing some of my past "Grown Up Parties" through the years.

Easter Weekend

We had quite the busy weekend! Going to go ahead and apologize for the amount of pictures on this post. Started my weekend with dinner at a local Thai place with my people!

Followed by a night prepping 2 hashbrown casseroles and 2 breakfast casseroles for a baby shower the next day! We managed to squeeze in one episode of Homeland. It's taking us forever to get through it all!

Saturday morning started early for me so I could get showered and ready before Emma woke up. I then ran by my weight watchers meeting to weigh in since I had been gone the past two weeks. I was down 4 pounds from the past two weeks which was great considering I had been on vacation and back to school. Since I started I'm down 23 pounds and since the day Emma was born I'm down 60.6 pounds. I hope to never see the number I saw at the end of my pregnancy again on a scale.

Then I ran home to finish cooking the hashbrown casseroles and change to leave for the Pio's home to set up for Ansley's baby shower. I threw the shower with a bunch of other girls I went to high school with and grew up with (Laura, Christy, Melissa, Madison, and Elizabeth). We did an "Ahoy it's a Boy" theme! The food spread was fantastic! Team effort. We are really getting good at this shower throwing thing! Ansley got some awesome things and is all set for Gavin to arrive. We can't wait to meet him in late May/early June.

Saturday afternoon I came home from the shower and baked for Easter. I was assigned desserts so I decided to make Easter basket cookies and grass rice crispy treats. I think they turned out pretty good! Saturday night the Hartmans came over and we grilled burgers and hung out on the porch just catching up. I am so grateful for the two of them in our lives. They are just good people who we are fortunate to call close friends who are also our neighbors (they live about 6 houses away from us!). It was just a very chill night to enjoy each other's company. We all hit the hay fairly early because of our full days of Easter gatherings the next day.

I woke up early again so I could get ready before Emma woke up. We headed to East Cobb just after 8am to meet the Robinsons at Mt. Bethel for the 9am church service. We got there early so I could register and check Emma into the nursery. She does not do well in the big service anymore so it's not enjoyable for anyone when she is with us. Thank you for church nurseries or we would never go to church! After church we went back to the Robinsons for a quick bite to eat and a few Easter eggs for Emma before heading to my parents house for their big gathering (last one before they move!) with all their friends and families. We had about 25-30 people over at my parents which was great. The food spread was delicious and the company was even better. It was nice to see everyone since we usually just see most of them on Christmas Eve. The weather was beautiful on Sunday. Collier and Emma had an Easter egg hunt at my parents house too. More Collier running around and bringing Emma some eggs while she sat and ate grass (rolling of eyes emoji). The kiddos napped at the house and we enjoyed an afternoon of catching up with everyone. It was the last time the twins would come home before being graduates of UGA as well. LOTS happening for the Williams family in the next few weeks (moves, graduations, first birthdays, etc.) After we left my parents house we went back to the Robinsons for an hour or so to visit some more before going home for the night. Phew I know you are exhausted just reading about our day. It was a busy day but as I was saying to someone today that it's a good problem to have trying to fit as much time with both our families in one day. We are lucky we have both families in town and that they want to hang out with us. It was a day filled with love and appreciation for the sacrifice of Jesus. Hope you had a blessed day with your loved ones!
