Weekend recap: lake edition

This weekend we went back up to The Stellings lake house on Lake Rabun. We always enjoy our weekends up there and the Stellings are always such wonderful hosts. Drew and Caroline always take care of buying all the groceries for the weekend and plan out all our meals. Such a treat!

We headed up after work on Friday and got there in a little over two hours due to traffic and a major meltdown requiring the need to stop.  The group that was there this trip were the Hartmans, Drew and Caroline Stelling, Michael Sullivan, and Drew's parents. Another couple joined us on Saturday afternoon as well. Friday night drew grilled pork tenderloins along with Mac n cheese and veggies. Saturday morning we had pancakes, bacon, fruit, and eggs. Lunch Saturday we did tailgate snacks with beef sliders. Dinner Saturday night we got Louie's Pizza. Sunday morning we had breakfast casserole. We did NOT go hungry this weekend!

Saturday we spent the day between watching football (UGA looked terrible), hanging out floating in the water, or just hanging out on the boat dock. It was a very relaxing day and I really needed the down time. Poor Bailey (Drew and Caroline's lab) was having some tummy issues the whole weekend so they ended up having to leave to go to the emergency vet Saturday night. Bailey must have eaten something that was blocking her intestine. They are just having to wait it out for it to pass. We hope sweet Bailey feels better soon!

We had an awesome weekend. Thank you Stellings for always being such wonderful hosts. We love going up to the lake!

Friday Favorites

Linking up for Friday Favorites this week!

My husband and his handy skills are a FAVORITE! He built this bookshelf and coffee table. The coffee table is going to actually make it IN our house today during his lunch break when our friend Andrew is also home for lunch to help move it. The concrete is HEAVY therefore I am not the person Tommy wants helping him move it. Ok by me!

Emma is just a ball of fun these days! She is so active and keeps me laughing all afternoon when I get home from work. It's so easy to put away what happened at work that day when I get to come home and play with her. She really knows how to help me put that aside.

My good morning pictures from Tommy are my favorite. This morning was the best with how much these two are really becoming fast friends. Makes this momma heart so happy!

FALL is here and I can't express how much I LOVE the Starbucks app. Our Starbucks doesn't have a drive through so if I order it right before I leave the house it's ready for me when I get there so I can just run in, grab, and go. The BEST!

This nugget and her mom came to visit during lunch today! I forgot to take a picture of Langley today but this was one of her so sweetly taking a nap on her momma yesterday (yes we both have nap boycotters!) Miss having Adrienne at school but so thankful for the daily texts I get from her checking in on me and LF.

I love momfessionals blog and finally decided to try out an EvyStreet hoodie. Oh my it is so comfy! I got so many compliments on it yesterday at work. Purple is my favorite color and being comfy is more of a favorite!

Lastly so excited for some rest and relaxation this weekend at Lake Rabun with the Stellings and Hartmans. I love going to Drew's lake house. Looking forward to quality time with Tommy and Emma. We are excited that Tommy's first week at his new job has gone well this week too!

Weekend recap

This weekend was jam packed until today. Friday night my supper club went to Oku Sushi for dinner. It was delicious! We didn't take any pictures oops! Tommy stayed home with the munchkin and had a daddy daughter date night.

Saturday morning Emma and I relaxed at home getting ready for the day. We went to brunch at Sun in My Belly to meet Willett and Alex since Willett was home from Puerto Rico. She hadn't been home since she moved in May. It was great to see her and catch up!

From here I headed to the Bobinskis house for Meghan's birthday brunch. I met Tommy there since he was able to go earlier. It was good to see all our couple friends. From here I headed to my friend Adrienne's for a play date with her daughter, Langley, and another friend from LF whose daughter, Ada, goes to daycare with Emma. Again blogger fail we took no pictures! It was great to see Adrienne, Tray and Langley and to see Katherine outside of school. All three babies are so similar in size. So fun all having little girls! Adrienne has been a wealth of knowledge these past four months since she was five months ahead of me. So thankful for her friendship!

From there we headed home. It was time for some down time with just the three of us. When Emma headed for bed Tommy left to watch the auburn game with his friends. I enjoyed a quiet night to myself watching the UGA game. I of course fell asleep and missed the end where we actually WON! #thismommacanthang
Cutest little dawg fan #sorrydad
Such a ham!
Those dimples!

Today was a day full of RAIN (my tennis match got canceled), naps, football, pajamas and just pure relaxation. The only productive thing I did today was grocery shop and meal plan for the week. Emma has officially mastered getting her thumb in her mouth and that's all she's interested in doing!
My drooley shopping partner.

We are ready to take on the week! Tommy starts his new job tomorrow for James Hardie. I'm excited for him to be working in a field he is passionate about (construction). We hope this is the place where he thrives and enjoys the work.

Hope you all have a wonderful week too!

Emma: 4 Months

Emma turned 4 months on September 10, 2016

Height: 25.5 inches (87th percentile)
Weight:16 lbs 7oz (87th percentile)
Head: 60th percentile

Likes: This past month Emma has grown to love (for short spurts) being on her tummy for tummy time because she has figured out how to roll from front to back. She loves to play peek-a-boo or when daddy makes funny faces at her. She is really getting so strong and has a really strong grip. She still LOVES the bath, being talked with so she can "converse" back, and being held. She likes to sleep on her side and sometimes on her belly. She LOVES to kick on the ground on her quilt or activity mat.

Firsts: This past month Emma had her first trip to the beach (and everyones first trip to the new house!), her first night with just Tpop and Coco babysitting, and her first time rolling from front to back. She is SO close to rolling from back to front.

Dislikes: This hasn't changed but she hates red lights. She doesn't like any lag time between getting dressed in the morning and starting her bottle. She is still not a huge fan of the bottle for her bedtime feeding which makes it hard on daddy if I ever want to go out at night with friends.

4 month photo dump!

Friday Favorites

I haven't done a link up in awhile so I figured why not this week! Linking up with Narci, Erika, and Andrea.

1. This past weekend football started and I am SO excited about dressing this one up every Saturday in her UGA and Auburn gear.

and I can't wait to put her in this tomorrow!

2. Daddy is her favorite and I couldn't resist taking a picture of the sweet snuggles he was getting the other night when I left for my tennis match (First once since FEBRUARY. I am SORE because of course we ended up going to a third set but we won Yay!)

3. We are having Emma's baptism on Sunday morning so we have family and a few friends coming to share in that with us. Beth, Emma's Aunt, and her boyfriend are coming in town from Charleston so we are excited to have ALL our family together. More pictures to come after the weekend!

4. This sweet face is always a favorite. This was her ready for picture day at Daycare. All the heart eyes for this little love! I can't believe she will be FOUR months tomorrow! More updates on her coming after her doctor appointment on Monday.

5. My friends are the BEST. We are going to the Ben Rector concert on September 30th and usually we would have asked grandparents to babysit but my parents have Collier that weekend and my father-in-law is having his knee replacement surgery a few days before so we sent in for reinforcements from our friends. We are so fortunate to have these couples in our lives that love our little one so much and are willing to sacrifice their Friday night to spend it with our child.

We are excited for the weekend and I'm looking forward to lots of family and friend time in the next few days!
