Friday Favorites

Linking up for Friday Favorites this week!

1. I've posted twice now about my December to-do list and wrote some updates HERE but here are some others we have checked off the list!
Here is a picture of the boxes I delivered the reindeer chow for our neighbors in. I just took to four of our neighbors that we know better than the rest.

I made a bunch of the food for my girls night tonight at Ansley's house. Mint Chocolate chip cookies, snowman cheese balls, and Christmas cheese pull apart bread (which I have posted the Pinterest picture here because I'm not baking the bread until tonight) My pinterest name is :lisarobinson31

I made Mix and Match Mama's peppermint cookies for a party we had last weekend and they were a BIG hit!

2. I love how our Christmas card turned out! I mailed them this week. We took these pictures at Thanksgiving with the photographer who is shooting Tommy's sister's wedding in February. He did a great job!

3. The jumparoo toy is such a huge hit with Emma these days and she cracks us up when she is playing in it. This also allows this momma to get some cooking done and things around the house. Too cute! She's my FAVORITE!

4. I shared this on my Instagram yesterday but it was my parent's 37th wedding anniversary yesterday. We are a lucky bunch (all 4 of their children, 2 son-in-laws, and 2 grandchildren) to have such a wonderful example of a strong, faithful marriage. Hopefully they will get to celebrate this weekend. We love you mom and dad!

5. Lastly I'm thankful for some quality time spent with Tommy and Emma. I know life has been so crazy lately but we actually had a few nights this week where we got to sit down at the dining room table and eat dinner together. For added pleasure is a picture of Emma not wanting to wake up (me either girlfriend) because she looked so peaceful and sweet here I couldn't resist.
(those lips, that nose, those tiny hands...)

Have a wonderful weekend! I'll be back Monday with how our weekend was! Lots of fun Holiday activities in the works!

Show and Tell Tuesday: Christmas Decorations

I am linking up with Andrea today at Momfessionals for Show and Tell Tuesday. I have missed a lot of these link ups this year (FTM problems) but wanted to make sure to link up for this. I LOVE THE HOLIDAYS and if I could leave up my Christmas decorations all year I would.

I started the mantle and buffet decorations before we left for Thanksgiving. We put up our Tree last weekend. You can read more about our Christmas-filled weekend HERE.

(The tree is now tied to the wall in two places because it's fallen over twice. #facepalm)
Love her little ornament I added to the collection this year :)

(I spy Emma) Loving that we have FOUR stockings this year. Love her little people nativitiy and so does she!

I LOVE my new sign for the front door. I found it at the Elegant Elf craft show at my school. I have used the wreath in the living room on the front door for years and just wanted to mix things up a little bit. I didn't really buy many new decorations this year other than Emma's stocking and stocking holder, a few ornaments, and some lights. I just moved the decorations around to different places. We used to put the Christmas tree in what is now the playroom so I wanted to move it to our dining room and I LOVE the new place for it. You can see it from the street now and I think you can just enjoy it more not tucked away in the back.

Happy Holidays to you all!

Oh December!

I've always loved the month of December but being a momma during the month of December is oh so sweet. Starting new traditions with Emma and also exposing her to things I've cherished over the years as well. Checking things off left and right from our To Do List. Here is our list again: (full disclosure...lots of pictures on this post so it's kinda long)

Make Santa Cookies and Reindeer Food plates:
So they aren't perfect but they are pretty cute! Pinterest is so disceiving. I don't know how people get perfect hand and foot prints. Anyway here they are!

(all her little foot prints. The plate wasn't totally flat so the middle of her foot wouldn't lay flat)

Order Christmas Cards: Done. Once we get them in and I've mailed them I will upload a picture. We ordered them from Minted with some photos we got taken over the Thanksgiving break at the beach.

Tree Shopping
We bought our tree on Friday night from Home Depot. We got a 7-8ft tree and we put it in a new place this year (in our dining room) and I LOVE the new spot! It was in the now playroom the past two years.

Tree Decorating:
After Emma went to bed on Friday night we decorated the tree. Since Friday we have had our tree fall twice (ahhhh). So now it is tied to the wall. Yes you read that correctly. No more falling trees. We have only had one major casualty of ornaments and one that can be fixed. Not bad for falling twice. It fell Friday night and then today I went to plug it in and it toppled right onto the dining room table. NOT good! But it looks so pretty :)

Visit Santa:
Today was GREAT! Making memories with my sister, brother-in-law, and nephew during this time in our lives is such a joy. Nana gifted us their outfits so we had to do the matching thing for the pictures and it turned out SO cute! We made an appointment at the Lenox Santa for Collier and Emma. We started with Emma (because Collier freaked at the Santa yesterday at the zoo so we knew he probably would react that way again) and she did fine by herself but NO SMILES. Then comes Collier and boy just watch the progression. You can't help but laugh. #poorbabies #babytorture
(look at them looking at each other. So sweet)

(that tear in her eye...oh my!)

After Santa we figured we should just see what the wait at the Pink Pig was and there wasn't a wait really so we did that too! Collier loved it and Emma was amazed. After the Pink Pig we went to California Pizza Kitchen for dinner. Great little Sunday with the cousins!

That was just about our whole weekend! Saturday I spent the day at home cleaning and getting caught up on house stuff with being away the past two weekends while Tommy golfed with some buddies. Saturday night we had the Stelling's annual Friendzmas white elephant party. We had a great time and appreciated a night out (Thanks mom and dad!).

We had a wonderful weekend filled with family, friends and holiday cheer. Couldn't have asked for anything better. Lots more to come this month!

December 1st- To Do List for the month

How is it already DECEMBER! I can't believe 2016 is coming to a rapid close. December could possibly be my FAVORITE month of the year. I love all the Holiday events, decorations, time spent with family and church services. Oh the Christmas worship music!

Anyway, I wanted to make myself a December To-Do list to keep me on track for the memories/traditions I want to set for the years to come with Emma.

Here is my list!

I will blog pictures of these things once we do them. Yay for the Holiday season! I am trying like my friend Jessica to get better about blogging more. Thanks for the inspiration Jessica! I don't know that I'll make it every workday with a post but I'm going to try and be better about not just doing when major events are occurring. I love being able to go back and revisit things we have done in the past!
