This weekend we celebrated the marriage of two of our closest friends! Caroline is a friend of mine from college and sorority who married one of Tommy's oldest friends from growing up. It's a pretty special thing for us to have two of our great friends marry each other. Drew and Caroline met during our time at UGA and have been dating for 7 years. To say we've anticipated this weekend for a long time is an understatement.
Friday Tommy played golf with a group of the groomsmen at Atlanta Country Club. I unfortunately couldn't make the luncheon Friday due to open house at school. The ladies had a great time at the Livingston for lunch. The rehearsal was at Druid Hills Prebyterian Church. Following the rehearsal we headed to Magnolia Hall at Piedmont Park for the rehearsal dinner. The Stellings did a beautiful job organizing the dinner. Magnolia hall is a beautiful venue. There were lots of speeches said to honor the happy couple. You could sense in the room how happy everyone was to be a part of the weekend and how excited we are for the new Stellings.
(The Mathieson house group. These boys lived together for two years after college. So many wonderful memories during that time!)
The slideshow brought back so many memories over the years. Looking forward to the many more to come.
Wedding day! Tommy went to brunch with the groomsmen at J Christopher's to jump start wedding day. When he headed to the church for pictures, I went to DryBar to get my hair done with Ansley. I headed to the church from drybar.
Caroline was a stunning bride!
The three of us greeters hung out in the bridal suite for a little bit before starting our duties.
Druid Hills Presbyterian is a beautiful church. All the stained glass is stunning. It's fun being the greeter as you get to welcome everyone as they walk into the church. It was then go time! The service was perfect. Bryant Wright did a wonderful job officiating the ceremony. The wedding party all looked beautiful and the church was delicately lit. Caroline and Drew were so calm and collected the whole service. After the ceremony we took a trolley ride to Puritan Mill for the reception.
The reception site was perfect. Caroline did a great job with her decor selections and everything looked wonderful! The band was awesome, the food was fantastic and the company was the best. We had a wonderful night dancing away! The slo-mo booth was a huge hit and hilarious to watch! The night ended with chicken biscuits from Caroline's favorite Chick Fil A and bubbles. The happy couple is spending their honeymoon in Little Dicks Bay in the Caribbean. Looking forward to hearing all about it!
Wishing the Stellings a lifetime of happiness, love, and laughs!
