Christy's Bachelorette Party in Nashville

This past weekend I headed to Nashville for Christy Reimann's bachelorette party. I took Emma to the doctor early Friday morning (still has an ear infection. Just can't kick it poor thing) then headed out for the weekend. Elizabeth and I rode together and we got into town at lunch time and met up with Carrie, Christy, Meghan, and Caroline for lunch at Marche. It was delicious! Good brunch type food and mimosas. We then left to head to the house.

We rented an AirBNB house in the 12 South area. The house was so cute and we each had somewhere to sleep comfortably. There were 11 of us on Friday night and then 10 on Saturday. Caroline had a wedding Saturday night so she just came for the first night.

We had welcome drinks at the house Friday before going out to dinner at Cabanas. Cabanas is the epitome of a bachelorette party dinner place. We had a huge booth where we could play our own music and they even sell bachelorette boxes with decorations for the table. We had a great time! We then went out for some dancing afterwards!

Saturday we woke up and headed out to Flipside for brunch. OMG was it fantastic! It was such cute decor inside as well. The tator tot nachos to start were delicious and they have a 2-1 for mimosas, bloody mary's, and bellinis. So fun!

From lunch we went back to the house for a minute before heading to Arrington Vineyards. It poured with rain ALL day on Saturday but we made the most of it. Worked out great and we had our own little private area at the vineyard where we also did her lingerie shower. The wine was good. On a pretty day it would be so nice to post up with a picnic for the afternoon. Highly recommend it!

After the vineyards we went back to the house for dinner. We had a taco bar at the house. We left for the honky tonk bars around 10 for more dancing. The live music in Nashville is such a fun time. The bands at both places we went to were so different and played different genres of music. It was a late night but I know the bachelorette enjoyed herself!

Sunday we had a farewell breakfast at the house before hitting the road. Boy was the ride home an adventure! There was a really bad accident on I-75 S which must have happened not long before we got there because we just SAT. Finally we weasled our way off the closest exit (found a bathroom and some food!) and used back roads to get around to another entrance onto the interstate. What should have been a 3 3/4 hour trip took us 6.5 hours. I was SO glad to get home. I was pooped and really just wanted some time with Emma before she needed to go to bed. We left Nashville at 10am central (so 11 am eastern) and I walked in my door at 5:30pm. LONG day! Thank you Elizabeth for driving and braving the rain and traffic.

We had a great weekend and can't wait for June 17th in Athens to celebrate the marriage of Andrew and Christy!

Show and Tell Tuesday: Grown Up Parties

Linking up for Show and Tell Tuesday: Grown Up Parties. I love to entertain and get the people I love to gather. All my parties may not be Pinterest worthy but here are a few that I've thrown over the years. I love a good party!

Just last month we threw a FIESTA wedding shower for our friends! Also two years ago we threw another FIESTA shower too.

Each year my friend, Ansley, and I throw a holiday party and the past two years we have done our FAVORITE THINGS (I'm not sure why all the pictures disappeared on my post about the party) party! It's been a crowd pleaser. Everyone brings an appetizer or dessert to share and then three of the same $10 or less gift that is a favorite from the year and everyone goes home with three new things! It's such fun. Ansley and I rotate each year who hosts so 2017 is my year!

We threw a BBQ Couples shower for our friends before they got married a few years ago. It was at our house as well.

Baby showers are also fun. I didn't throw this one for my sister but I attended and I just LOVED the BOOK theme!

Last week I helped throw an Ahoy it's a Boy baby shower for Ansley and it was so cute!

Hope you enjoyed seeing some of my past "Grown Up Parties" through the years.

Easter Weekend

We had quite the busy weekend! Going to go ahead and apologize for the amount of pictures on this post. Started my weekend with dinner at a local Thai place with my people!

Followed by a night prepping 2 hashbrown casseroles and 2 breakfast casseroles for a baby shower the next day! We managed to squeeze in one episode of Homeland. It's taking us forever to get through it all!

Saturday morning started early for me so I could get showered and ready before Emma woke up. I then ran by my weight watchers meeting to weigh in since I had been gone the past two weeks. I was down 4 pounds from the past two weeks which was great considering I had been on vacation and back to school. Since I started I'm down 23 pounds and since the day Emma was born I'm down 60.6 pounds. I hope to never see the number I saw at the end of my pregnancy again on a scale.

Then I ran home to finish cooking the hashbrown casseroles and change to leave for the Pio's home to set up for Ansley's baby shower. I threw the shower with a bunch of other girls I went to high school with and grew up with (Laura, Christy, Melissa, Madison, and Elizabeth). We did an "Ahoy it's a Boy" theme! The food spread was fantastic! Team effort. We are really getting good at this shower throwing thing! Ansley got some awesome things and is all set for Gavin to arrive. We can't wait to meet him in late May/early June.

Saturday afternoon I came home from the shower and baked for Easter. I was assigned desserts so I decided to make Easter basket cookies and grass rice crispy treats. I think they turned out pretty good! Saturday night the Hartmans came over and we grilled burgers and hung out on the porch just catching up. I am so grateful for the two of them in our lives. They are just good people who we are fortunate to call close friends who are also our neighbors (they live about 6 houses away from us!). It was just a very chill night to enjoy each other's company. We all hit the hay fairly early because of our full days of Easter gatherings the next day.

I woke up early again so I could get ready before Emma woke up. We headed to East Cobb just after 8am to meet the Robinsons at Mt. Bethel for the 9am church service. We got there early so I could register and check Emma into the nursery. She does not do well in the big service anymore so it's not enjoyable for anyone when she is with us. Thank you for church nurseries or we would never go to church! After church we went back to the Robinsons for a quick bite to eat and a few Easter eggs for Emma before heading to my parents house for their big gathering (last one before they move!) with all their friends and families. We had about 25-30 people over at my parents which was great. The food spread was delicious and the company was even better. It was nice to see everyone since we usually just see most of them on Christmas Eve. The weather was beautiful on Sunday. Collier and Emma had an Easter egg hunt at my parents house too. More Collier running around and bringing Emma some eggs while she sat and ate grass (rolling of eyes emoji). The kiddos napped at the house and we enjoyed an afternoon of catching up with everyone. It was the last time the twins would come home before being graduates of UGA as well. LOTS happening for the Williams family in the next few weeks (moves, graduations, first birthdays, etc.) After we left my parents house we went back to the Robinsons for an hour or so to visit some more before going home for the night. Phew I know you are exhausted just reading about our day. It was a busy day but as I was saying to someone today that it's a good problem to have trying to fit as much time with both our families in one day. We are lucky we have both families in town and that they want to hang out with us. It was a day filled with love and appreciation for the sacrifice of Jesus. Hope you had a blessed day with your loved ones!
